Our History

Lux Israel founded in 1981, bringing a childhood dream to fruition. As an avid traveler, Zeev’s father took his young son on whirlwind journeys through the Holy Land for years, igniting a fervent affinity for the tourism field.

Zeev’s childhood visit to the Masada Fortress, in particular, left a lasting and eventually life-changing impression. After gaining tour guiding certification in 1970, Zeev created Lux Israel (the name is a nod to his most cherished travel memory) and nurtured the company from modest beginnings.

Lux Israel is headquartered in Tel Aviv and enjoys strong relations with hotels all over Israel, as well as Egypt (we have daily dealings with their embassy), and Jordan, a wonderful partner-country with whom we have been working since before the peace treaty.
